Inventions: Beginning with the printing press in 1438 and ending with robots, this packet includes the steam pump,
the spinning jenny, Fulton’s steam boat, photography, washing machine, barbed wire, telephone, light bulb, automobile, air plane, satellites, lazers, and space shuttle and many other inventions.Students are encouraged to choose an invention that is not featured, or to design one of their own,
and draw it as the final illustration in the packet. Historical summaries include many explanations that can be used and expanded for teaching scientific principles.
